Week 2

September 7th

This Month In Our Faith

As we begin this new month, the Church invites us to reflect deeply on the Word of God and to draw closer to Our Blessed Mother. September is dedicated to the Bible, reminding us of the treasure of Sacred Scripture that nourishes and strengthens our faith. It is also the month of the Seven Sorrows of Mary, calling us to walk with her as she shares in the sufferings of her Son and to unite our own trials with hers.

Let us take this month to pray more faithfully with the Scriptures and to honor Our Lady of Sorrows, finding hope and courage in her example of faith. As our children and young people return back to school, may God’s Word and Mary’s intercession guide, protect, and inspire them throughout the year.

Scouting is flexible for busy families, and parent involvement is encouraged.

All are welcome—new faces too!

Week 3

September 14th

Weekly Encouragement

As we move through September, we are reminded of God’s constant presence and the call to live out our faith daily. This Sunday’s Gospel (Mark 9:30–37) points us toward humility and service—Jesus reminds us that greatness is found not in power or recognition but in becoming “the servant of all.”

In a world that often tells us to put ourselves first, Christ turns that message upside down: true discipleship means loving others selflessly and putting their needs before our own.

May this week be an opportunity to choose humility, to serve with joy, and to walk in the footsteps of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve.
