Week 2

October 12 – October 18th

Living Our Faith

As we continue through this month dedicated to the Holy Rosary and to the Church’s missionary spirit, we’re reminded that faith is meant to be lived and shared. Each act of kindness, patience, forgiveness, and love becomes a prayer in motion — a reflection of Mary’s “yes” and our call to bring Christ to others.

In this Sunday’s Gospel ten lepers are healed, but only one returns to thank Jesus. Gratitude transforms healing into holiness; it opens our eyes to see God’s hand in every blessing. This week, let’s pause to give thanks — for faith, for community, and for the mission entrusted to each of us.

May we, like Mary, carry the Good News into the world with joy and gratitude, praying the Rosary not just with our lips but with our lives.

Week 3

October 19 – October 25th

Living Our Faith

This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us of the power of persistence in prayer. Like the widow who never gave up, we are called to pray without losing heart — trusting that God hears us even in silence. Faith grows stronger each time we return to Him with hope and perseverance.

As we celebrate World Mission Sunday, we’re also reminded that prayer fuels our mission. The same faith that moves us to pray must move us to act — to share Christ’s love beyond the walls of our parish and into the world.

May our daily prayers and good works be our “yes” to God’s call, carrying His mercy and justice wherever we go.

Week 4

October 26 – November 1st

Living Our Faith

As we begin this new week, we continue to walk through this month, dedicated to Our Blessed Mother and the Holy Rosary — a prayer that teaches us humility, gratitude, and trust in God’s mercy.

Today’s Gospel reminds us that true faith flows from a humble heart. Like the tax collector who prayed,

“O God, be merciful to me, a sinner,”

we are called to come before God in simplicity and truth, trusting that He always listens with love.

May praying the Rosary this month draw us closer to Mary’s example of humility and strengthen our desire to live each day with compassion, mercy, and faith.

We joyfully come together to celebrate the Dedication of our Parish, a moment to honor our rich history, our faith, and the generations who have built this spiritual home with love and devotion.

Founded in 1848, our parish stands as the oldest Catholic church in Rockland County.

As we give thanks to God for 176 years of worship, service, and unity, let us also look forward with renewed hope and commitment to continue building a vibrant future together.

May we be reminded of the blessing it is to belong to this parish family — a place where faith lives, love grows, and Christ remains at the heart of all we do.
