Week 3

July 20th

Weekly Encouragement

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Sometimes, life just feels like a lot. Even in summer, when things are supposed to slow down, we can find ourselves running on empty. Jesus reminds us that we don’t have to carry it all on our own.

This week, let this be your gentle reminder:

it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to rest. And most of all — it’s okay to give your burdens to God. Take time to pray, breathe, and let Him meet you right where you are. He’s not asking for perfection—

just your presence.

Food Pantry

This weekend, we held our Food Pantry distribution, serving local families in need. Next weekend, July 27–28, we will have our monthly collection to support this vital ministry. Your contributions help us provide food and essential supplies for those who need it most.

Thank you for your continued generosity!

Youth Ministry Update

We may have been quiet lately, but that’s only because we’ve been busy behind the scenes! Our team has been meeting, planning, and preparing for an incredible year ahead. We’re excited to invite all 8th graders through high school students to be part of it.

Some fun surprises and special events are coming soon—stay tuned!

Rooted in faith. Built for you. Open to all.

Parking Lot Beautification Project

Thanks to your support, many Brick Memorial dedications have already been placed on the parking lot pillars.

There’s still time to join in — honor a loved one or include your family name on a brick that will be part of our parish for years to come.

Contact the parish office to reserve yours.

Religious Education Registration

Registration for Religious Education for children and young adults is now open!

  • Monday–Thursday | 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday Evenings | 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

We are also in need of catechists to help guide our young people in their faith.

If you feel called to serve, please contact the parish.

RCIA for Young Adults

Are you missing a sacrament — like Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation — and feel ready to take the next step in your faith journey?

We’re here to walk with you.

Our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program is a welcoming space for adults who want to prepare to receive their sacraments and grow in their Catholic faith.

Classes will begin soon.

If you’re interested or have questions, please contact the parish office.

Special Collection – August 2 & 3

Please note: There is an error in the offertory envelopes for the weekend of August 2–3. The envelopes indicate a special collection for the Church in Africa, but that is incorrect. That weekend, we will instead be welcoming a visiting priest from Haiti for our annual Mission Appeal.

All second collection offerings will go directly to support the mission in Haiti.

The collection for the Church in Africa will take place the following weekend, August 9–10.

We apologize for the confusion and sincerely thank you for your continued generosity and understanding.

Mass Intentions

Mass intentions are a beautiful way to pray for someone’s soul, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or ask for healing or guidance.

To request a Mass intention, please visit the parish office.

Let us lift up your intentions at the altar with love and faith.

Prayer Intentions

As a parish family, we believe in the power of prayer.

If you have a special intention or know someone in need of prayer, we invite you to share it with us. You can also request to have a name added to our Parish Prayer Board.

Let’s continue to lift one another up in faith and love.

Week 4

July 27th

Weekly Encouragement

As we enter a new week, we’re reminded of the power of faith and the beauty of generosity. This Sunday’s Gospel tells the story of the miraculous feeding of the five thousand—where Jesus takes a humble offering of five loaves and two fish and multiplies it beyond imagination. It’s a powerful reminder that God can do so much with what little we offer—when we offer it with trust.

Whether it’s our time, our resources, or simply our presence, nothing is too small in God’s hands. As you begin this week, reflect on what “five loaves and two fish” you can give. You never know how God might use your simple offering to bless others in ways you can’t yet see. Let’s move through the days ahead with open hearts and a willingness to trust that God is always working—even when we feel like we don’t have enough.

Have a blessed week!

Food Pantry Collection

What a beautiful way to apply this Sunday’s Gospel—the miracle of the loaves and fishes—by supporting our monthly Food Pantry.

Last week, 352 bags were distributed to local families in need. Your donation helps feed our neighbors right here in the parish and the wider community.

Thank you for being part of this vital ministry of compassion.

Haitian Mission Appeal – Next Weekend

Next weekend, we welcome Fr. Edwine Saint Louis as our special guest for the annual Haitian Mission Appeal.

Fr. Edwine will speak at all Masses, sharing the needs of the Haitian community and how we can support the ongoing mission work.

There will be a second collection at all Masses to support this important cause.

Please be generous with your prayers and offerings as we stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

Important Note on Second Collection – August 2–3

Please note: There is an error in the offertory envelopes for next weekend August 2–3.

The envelopes incorrectly list the second collection as being for the Church in Africa.

Instead, that weekend’s second collection will support the Haitian Mission Appeal, with all offerings going directly to the mission in Haiti.

The collection for the Church in Africa will be held the following weekend, August 9–10.

Religious Education Registration

Classes are filling up fast! If you still need to register your child for Religious Education, please stop by the Religious Education Office as soon as possible.

We look forward to another year of faith, formation, and community!

  • Monday–Thursday | 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday Evenings | 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

We are also in need of catechists to help guide our young people in their faith.

RCIA for Young Adults

The sacraments are essential milestones in our Catholic faith, drawing us closer to God and to the life of the Church.

If you are a young adult who has not yet received Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation, our

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program is here to guide and support you.

This is a welcoming space to deepen your understanding of the faith and prepare to fully participate in the sacramental life of the Church.

Classes begin Sunday, September 14.

To register or learn more, please contact the parish office.

Youth Ministry – Save the Date!

We’re excited to announce a special Youth Ministry event coming up on

Saturday, August 9th, from 1:00–6:00 PM!

Details will be shared soon, but we invite

all 8th graders and high school students to mark their calendars.

Youth Ministry is a great way to grow in friendship, fun, and most importantly—to learn about God and how to keep Him at the center of your life.
