Preparing the Soil of Our Hearts
Jesus reminds us that the seed of God’s Word is generously sown, but it is the condition of our hearts that determines how it will grow. Just as good soil produces an abundant harvest, hearts that are open to God’s voice bear the fruits of faith, hope, love, and service.
As we continue through these summer months, may we take time to reflect on how we receive God’s Word in our daily lives. Are we making room for Him through prayer, the Eucharist, and acts of kindness?
When we allow His Word to take root in our hearts, it transforms us and enables us to share His love with others. May we strive each day to be good soil, ready to receive God’s grace and bear fruit for His Kingdom.
Catholic Missions Second Collection
This weekend, there will be a second collection to benefit the Catholic Missions Among Black and Indian People.
Your generosity helps support evangelization, education, and pastoral ministries serving these communities throughout our country.

Parish Mission to the Dominican Republic
From August 23–29, a group of missionaries from St. Peter & St. Mary Parish and our local community will travel to the Dominican Republic on a parish mission led by Father Edward.
Please keep our missionaries in your prayers as they prepare to share Christ’s love through service, faith, and compassion. We ask the Lord to bless their mission, protect them throughout their journey, and make them instruments of His peace and hope to all those they encounter.
Bingo Night for the Dominican Republic Mission
Join us on Monday, July 13, for Bingo Night hosted by the Knights of Columbus.
All proceeds will benefit our Parish Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic. Bring your family and friends for an evening of fun while supporting this important mission.

A Message from Our Parish
As many families enjoy the blessings of the summer season, our Pastor, Father Rumando Peralta, will also be taking a well-deserved vacation over the next few weeks. We are deeply grateful for his faithful leadership, tireless dedication, and loving service to our parish family throughout the year.
We pray that this time away will be one of rest, renewal, and spiritual refreshment, allowing Father Rumando to return renewed as he continues his ministry among us. Please keep him in your prayers during his travels, asking God to grant him good health, safety, and many blessings.
During Father Rumando’s absence, we are blessed to welcome several visiting priests who will be celebrating Mass and serving our parish community. We warmly welcome Father Ronnie Maldonado, CRL, who will be with us from July 13 through July 23. We are also pleased to welcome a visiting priest from Africa, who will be serving our parish throughout the month of August.
We thank our visiting priests for their generosity and ministry, and we invite our parish family to extend to them the warm hospitality for which St. Peter & St. Mary Parish is known.
Baptisms & Pre-Baptism Class
Our next Baptisms will be celebrated on Saturday, July 18, at 1:00 PM.
The Pre-Baptism Class for parents and godparents will be held on Tuesday, July 14, at 7:00 PM.

Tickets are available after all Masses and at the Parish Office.

Religious Education Registration
Registration is now open and will continue through the end of August. Classes begin in September.
Beginning Sunday, July 12, registration will be available after every Sunday Mass throughout the month of July.
Summer Office Hours – Religious Education
During July and August, the Religious Education Office will be open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and Monday evenings only from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Built on the Rock of Faith
As we welcome the beginning of summer and celebrate the close of another school year, we give thanks to God for His many blessings and look forward to the opportunities this new season brings for rest, renewal, and spending time with family and friends.
In the Gospel, Jesus asks His disciples,
“Who do you say that I am?”
Peter boldly professes his faith, and Jesus declares,
“You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church.”
As we prepare to celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, may we, like Saint Peter, boldly profess our faith and continue building our lives on Christ, the firm foundation of our hope. May this summer be a time to grow closer to the Lord, strengthen our families, and remain faithful as one parish community.

Summer Office Hours
Beginning Friday, July 3, the Parish Office will begin its Summer Friday Schedule. During the months of July and August, the Parish Office will be closed on Fridays.

Food Pantry Collection
Last weekend, our Food Pantry distributed 328 bags of groceries to families in need throughout our parish and community.
This weekend is our monthly Food Pantry Collection.
Your generosity allows us to continue this growing ministry and serve those who rely on our support.
Volunteers are also always welcome. If you would like to help, please contact the Parish Office.
Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal
Thank you for your continued generosity!
Through your faithful support, our parish has now reached 66% of our $67,400 Cardinal’s Appeal goal.
Every gift, no matter the amount, helps support ministries and programs that serve those most in need throughout our Church. Together, we continue moving closer to our goal. Thank you for being part of this mission.
Feast of Our Patron Saint, St. Peter

On this special occasion, we give thanks to God for the gift of our patron and pray that St. Peter will continue to intercede for our parish community, strengthen our faith, and guide us as we follow Christ together.

On Wednesday, July 1, we joyfully celebrate the birthday of our beloved Pastor, Father Rumando Peralta.
We thank God for his faithful leadership, dedicated service, and loving care for our parish family. Please join us in wishing Father Rumando a very happy birthday and in praying that God continues to bless him with good health, abundant joy, and many more years of priestly ministry.

Ordination to the Priesthood
Please keep Christian Francke, a member of our parish family, in your prayers as he is ordained to the Priesthood this Monday, June 29.
We are also blessed to welcome him back to St. Peter & St. Mary Parish, where he will celebrate his First Mass on Friday, July 10, at 3:00 PM.
We invite everyone to join us for this joyful celebration as we pray for God’s abundant blessings upon his priestly ministry.
Special Prayer for Our Graduates
Today, we give thanks for all the graduates of our parish and community as they celebrate this important milestone. We thank You for their hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments.
As they begin a new chapter in their lives, fill them with wisdom, courage, and faith. Guide their steps, bless their future, and help them always seek Your will in all they do. May they continue to grow in knowledge, serve others with love, and remain close to You throughout their lives.
