Feb 22nd – 28th

Led by the Spirit

As we begin the First Week of Lent, the Gospel brings us into the desert with Jesus. There, He faces temptation, yet remains faithful to the Father. In this powerful moment, we are reminded that Lent is our own journey into the desert—a time of prayer, sacrifice, and trust in God.

Temptation, struggle, and testing are part of the human experience, but today’s Gospel assures us that we are not alone. Just as the Spirit was with Jesus, the Lord walks with us in our moments of weakness and calls us to rely on His Word.

May this Lenten season strengthen our resolve, deepen our prayer, and draw us closer to Christ as we continue this sacred journey together.

First Sunday of Lent

Lent is a sacred invitation.

For forty days, we walk with Christ into the desert—a place of silence, testing, and renewal.

It is a time to return to what matters most, to let go of what distracts us, and to draw closer to the heart of God.

Through prayer, fasting, and acts of love, may this holy season purify our hearts, strengthen our faith, and lead us more deeply into the mystery of Christ.

Lord, guide us through this Lenten journey and renew us by Your grace.

Living the Law from the Heart

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that He has come not to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. He calls us to go beyond what is seen on the outside and to live our faith from the heart—with sincerity, love, and faithfulness to God.

As we reflect on this message, we are also mindful that the Lenten season begins next week on Ash Wednesday, a sacred time that invites us to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
