Living Our Faith Without Fear
Throughout this month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are reminded of Christ’s faithful love and constant presence in our lives.
In the Gospel, Jesus tells us,
“Do not be afraid.”
He encourages us to trust in Him, remain faithful, and never be afraid to live and share our faith. Even in moments of uncertainty, we can find peace knowing that God knows us, loves us, and is always with us.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus fill our hearts with courage, hope, and faith as we continue our journey together as one parish family.
As we celebrate Father’s Day, we give thanks for the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who bless our lives with their love, guidance, and sacrifice. May God bless them always and continue to strengthen our families.

Food Pantry Collection
This weekend, our Food Pantry distributed food to families in need throughout our parish and community, continuing our mission of serving our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and hope.
Our next monthly collection will take place next weekend.

Baptisms
Our next Baptisms will be celebrated on Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 PM.

Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal
Thank you for your continued generosity!
Through your faithful support, our parish has now reached over 64% of our Cardinal’s Appeal goal.
We have less than $24,000 remaining to reach our goal.
Every gift, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer and helps support ministries that serve those most in need throughout our Church.

Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of our fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and all father figures who have loved, guided, protected, and sacrificed for their families.
May St. Joseph, the model of faithful fatherhood, inspire them with wisdom, strength, humility, and unwavering faith.
May the Lord bless all fathers who are with us today, grant eternal rest to those who have gone before us, and continue to strengthen every family with His love.

Confirmation 2026
This weekend, our parish joyfully celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation, as 145 young people received the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Joseph Espaillat, our priests, deacons, catechists, sponsors, families, volunteers, choir, altar servers, and everyone whose dedication and service helped make this beautiful celebration possible.
Congratulations to our newly confirmed! May the Holy Spirit continue to guide, strengthen, and inspire you as you live your faith each day.

Solemnity of Saints Peter & Paul
Next weekend – June 27–28, we will celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul.
In a special way, we will honor Saint Peter, our patron saint, and give thanks for his continued intercession and protection over our parish family.
Ordination to the Priesthood
Please join us in prayer for Christian Francke, from our parish community, as he prepares for his Ordination to the Priesthood on Monday, June 29.
We are also blessed to share that he will celebrate his First Mass here at St. Peter & St. Mary Parish on Friday, July 10 at 3:00 PM.
May God continue to guide and bless him in his priestly ministry.

Called to Serve
Throughout the month of June, dedicated in our Catholic faith to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are reminded of Christ’s deep love, mercy, and compassion for His people.
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus looks upon the crowds with compassion and reminds us,
“The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few.”
These powerful words remind us that each of us is called to share God’s love through kindness, service, and faith.
Whether through prayer, helping a neighbor, or simply showing compassion, we all have a role in building God’s Kingdom.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus inspire us to live with hearts full of mercy, love, and faith as we continue growing together as a parish family.

The Pre-Baptism Class for parents and godparents will be held on Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00 PM as they prepare for this beautiful sacrament.

Father’s Day Intentions
As we prepare to celebrate Father’s Day next Sunday, June 21, all Masses will be offered for the intentions of our fathers, grandfathers, and father figures, living and deceased.
Please pick up your Father’s Day Intention Envelopes, now available, and include your loved ones in this special prayer intention.
Confirmation 2026
Next Saturday, June 20, our parish will joyfully celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation, celebrated by Monsignor Bishop Joseph Espaillat, with 145 candidates receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Confirmation will take place in two ceremonies at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Please keep our Confirmation candidates and sponsors in your prayers as they prepare for this beautiful and important day in their faith journey.
English Prayer Group
Our English Prayer Group meets every Friday at 6:30 PM in the School.
Come grow deeper in your faith through prayer, fellowship, and community as we strengthen our relationship with God.

We are blessed to gather together as one parish family on this beautiful Sunday.
Just a few announcements for our parish community:
Corpus Christi Procession
Next Sunday, we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.
Following the 2:00 PM Mass at St. Peter’s Church, we will have a procession with the Blessed Sacrament through the village of Haverstraw.
We invite all parishioners to join us and be a witness to our faith in our community.
Confirmation Candidates
Please keep our Confirmation candidates and sponsors in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
The Sponsor & Candidate Retreat will take place on Saturday, June 13.
Annual Parish Picnic
Our Annual Parish Picnic is quickly approaching at Bowline Point Park on Sunday, June 14.
Admission is:
- $10 for adults
- $5 for children
Come enjoy a day of food, music, games, and fellowship for the whole family.

Our parish continues participating in the Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal with a goal of $67,400.
Thanks to your generosity:
- 59% of our goal has been reached
- 171 families are participating
- Nearly $40,000 has been pledged
