Walking by Faith
In this Sunday’s Gospel, we see Jesus walking on the water and inviting Peter to step out of the boat. As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked with confidence. But when he focused on the wind and the waves, fear began to take over.
How often do we find ourselves like Peter? We all experience moments of uncertainty, worry, and challenges that seem greater than we can handle. Yet Jesus speaks the same words to us today:
“Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
May we place our trust in the Lord, especially during life’s storms. When we keep our eyes fixed on Christ, He gives us the strength to move forward with faith, hope, and confidence.
May we remember that Jesus is always with us, reaching out His hand to lift us up and guide us safely through every challenge. Let us continue walking together in faith as one parish family.

Second Collection
This weekend, our second collection will support the Pastoral Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa. Thank you for your continued generosity and support.
Our Mission Appeal Weekend
On the weekend of August 22–23, our parish will welcome a representative for our Annual Mission Appeal, who will share information about the important work of supporting Catholic missions throughout the world. This appeal helps provide resources to missionary communities as they bring the Gospel and serve those most in need.
Upcoming Baptisms
Our next Baptisms will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15,
12:00 PM in English and 1:00 PM in Spanish.
The Pre-Baptismal Class for parents and godparents will be held on Tuesday, August 11, at 7:00 PM.

A Blessing to Our Parish
Father Eric Opoku-Ning
We are grateful to have Father Eric Opoku-Ning with us throughout the month of August.
Visiting us from Africa, Father Eric has joined our parish to share in our liturgies and priestly ministry.
We thank him for being with us and invite our parish family to keep him in your prayers during his stay.
Religious Education & OCIA Registration
Don’t wait—registration is filling up quickly!
Registration is now open for children preparing for Catechism and the Sacraments.
Classes begin in September, and space is filling fast.
For adults interested in receiving their Sacraments through OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults), registration will be available after Mass during the month of August.
Could God Be Calling You to Be a Catechist?
Our children need people who are willing to show up, share their faith, and help them grow closer to Christ.
As we prepare for a new year of Religious Education, our parish is looking for new catechists!
You don’t have to be a teacher or have all the answers.
If you have a love for your faith and a willingness to serve, we will provide the guidance, resources, and support you need.
Prayerfully consider saying yes. Your time could make a lasting difference in the faith of a child.
